Today the gang were out helping Whipton Community Builders in a planter project.
Our task tonight was to empty the soil in order for the planters to be moved to a new home - helping free up parking spaces at the old location, and enabling safer road space in the new. The planters will be taken over by a local school and community.
Overall we shifted over a tonne of soil, and certainly got a good workout!
A huge welcome to Catherine who joined us for her first session, and a big welcome back to Isabel after months away traveling! Great job all!

We were invited to Whipton Community Centre to help them prepare their grounds for their Coronation party on Monday. Unfortunately the extremely heavy rain in the afternoon made our evening task of cutting grass impossible even with the best will in the world. Task aborted early so extended runs & cycles enjoyed instead.

Tonight, Lawrence and I helped decorate Whipton Community Hall for spooky season. The hall is in constant use by the local residents so it was great to help them make a start ready for their events.

What a wonderful night we had this week! Hot off the heels of us showing off GoodGym at a volunteer fayre, we had an amazing 10 new members join us for tonights task!
14 of us (our largest turnout in over a year!) tackled the gardening for Whipton Community Hall. We mowed, strimmed, pruned, cut and pulled until the grounds good a good tidy. A group also went around the grounds and cleared all the litter.
A massive welcome and an even bigger thank you to Hanan, Meyza, Aqlisharfan, Siena, Maulidia, Valiannisa, Aylla, Wynne, Krissanti and Muhammad. We loved having you with us, you made a huge difference and we hope to see you on future sessions!

Tonight we put episodes of Ground Force to shame (remember that show?!), helping Whipton Community Association mow and clear their grounds.
A very physical task, but we couldn't have asked for a more perfect night, the sun was out and the 6 of us got the entire area mowed, strimmed, pruned and litter-picked. We've been producing some rather excellent before/after pictures recently and tonight was no exception!
