Another cracking Lambeth GoodGym outing in the books! 🎉

We rolled back up to help Tom and the Lambeth Parks crew tackle the edging and clearing at St Matthew's Peace Garden 🪏 — and honestly, if you haven't seen this place, get down there, it's an absolute stunner.

Yianny, Michael, Jo, Adam and Nicole got stuck in and we filled that two-tonne bag right to the brim(ish)... and STILL had work spare. So, in the immortal words of a certain Austrian action hero: "We'll be back." 🦾

Huge congrats to Nicole for smashing her 10th good deed! 🔟🎊 Double digits and still going strong — the good deeds just keep on coming.

Massive welcome back to Tilly, freshly returned from her wedding! 🥰💍 We even had the pleasure of meeting the new hubby, and she rocked up with home-baked treats to celebrate — and officially kick off the Lambeth Bake Off sweepstakes 🍰🏆 (early odds are already fierce).

A gorgeous evening, great company, and another job well done. Another one bites the... weed. 🧰❤️

Another cracking Tuesday for the GoodGym Lambeth crew! We rocked up at Papa's, laced up, and jogged over to Ruskin Park to link up with Tom from Lambeth Parks — a man whose garden kit game is honestly unmatched. Best gear in Lambeth, no notes. 🏆

Today's mission: bramble bashing. And bash we did. 💪🏼

Armed with rakes, secateurs and loppers (basically a horticultural Avengers lineup), we descended on the bramble bushes with genuine menace. The technique was simple but effective: rake 'em out, chop 'em down, pile 'em up for composting. The brambles didn't stand a chance. 🌱🔥

A huge shoutout to Lea, who joined us for her first ever GoodGym session — welcome to the fam, we hope the brambles didn't scare you off! 🎉🍾 Also out there getting stuck in: Michael (fresh from his Big Half heroics) Katie, and Adam, all bringing the usual mix of chat, chaos and quality composting content.

Ruskin Park is looking noticeably less prickly thanks to this lot. Great work all round — fitness sorted, good deed done, brambles thoroughly put in their place. 🏃🍾❤️

Big shovel energy tonight at Holy Trinity, team! 💪🏼 One of our fave return fixtures — barrows loaded, wood mulch flying, and the orchard garden finally got the thirsty tree bases and borders the mulch they’d been begging for. Parched no more! 🌳💦

Squad on task: Adam, Ben, Fi, Katie, Michael, Rich and yours truly, Yianny. Absolute mulch-ines, the lot of them. 🍾

And because it was the end of the month, social snuck back into its rightful evening slot — chef’s kiss timing. 😊 Ben went full Bake Off with homemade feta parcels and veggie sausage rolls (someone give this man a task-and-tasting badge 🧰❤️), everyone else brought food and drink to match, and our host with the most, Tilly, ran a properly spirited round of Linkee that had brains and bellies both working overtime. 🤩

Mulch spread, minds boggled, tummies full — you really can’t beat a GoodGym Tuesday.

Another scorcher, another squad of good eggs trading the sofa for a sweat sesh with a purpose! This week the Lambeth crew rolled back into Wyck Forest Gardens to reunite with the legend that is Heather, on a mission critical, code-red, hosepipe-adjacent task: watering 🥵💦

Turns out the recent heat has had the garden gasping worse than us after the run over — and the young whips (the apple, pear and friends contingent 🍏🍐) were in serious need of some TLC before they wilted into fruit salad prematurely.

On the team sheet today: Adam West, Ark , Ben , Katie , Michael , Rich and Yianny — seven brilliant humans who showed up to sweat first, hydrate plants second 💪🏼

The mission, soggily accomplished:

• 🛒 Two full trolley runs — basically a shopping spree, except instead of snacks we were hauling watering cans
• 🐘 One epic showdown with the 120kg water beast — if you know, you know. Respect to Rich who wheeled that unit without needing their own rehydration break afterwards
• 🧰 A generous helping of compost TLC, because even dirt deserves a little love ❤️

Whips watered, trolleys wrangled, water beast tamed — Wyck Forest Gardens is looking noticeably less crispy thanks to this lot. Heather, we’ll see you again soon (bring backup water beasts) 🥵🌱
