Making a Difference in the Sun

Lewisham Report written by Lewisham runner

There were beautiful sunny conditions for litter picking in Sydenham’s Mayow Park for Adi who left the park a bit more resplendent after picking up the coke bottles and takeaway boxes.

Paul had similar conditions in Deptford’s Brookmill Park where he litterpicked under a pair a heron nests, there was a mixture of new beer bottles and an assortment of plastics brought down by the Ravsnesbourne.

Hard Work from the Lewisham Litterati

Lewisham Report written by Lewisham runner

Lots of litter picking around Lewisham over the last few days. Adi was busy in Sydenham’s Mayow Park, it was grey and dull (but had been stunning earlier in the week!)

Linda had been working hard nearby focusing on the area around her Lower Sydenham home. She recycled lots of cardboard and dealt with abandoned e bikes.

Louise saw lots of snails as she litter picked around a community garden at Valeswood Road on the Downham estate, sorting out a fallen sign whilst she was at it!

Paul was in Deptford’s Brookmill Park where along the River Ravensbourne there was lots of litter from flooding but had the benefit of watching lots of wildlife as he cleared the rubbish.
