Picking It Up As We Went Along

Lewisham Report written by Lewisham runner

There aren’t any real rules for this task, so it was a question of picking it up as we went along. Adi may have been wearing the 50 good deed t shirt, a milestone passed last week - well done! Adi was certainly enjoying the almost autumnal feel while Plogging in Sydenham’s Mayow Park this morning.

Paul had some his litter picking the day before along the Ravensbourne in Deptford’s Brookmill Park. There was lots of litter that had been washed down after high flows the week before. One of the herons watched me from a safe distance.

The next time you see Adi, they might be wearing black instead of red. They've completed 50 good deeds with GoodGym and have earnt their black t-shirt. Give them a nod when you next see them.

Plenty of Bottle(s)

Lewisham Report written by Lewisham runner

As summer comes to an end, it seemed that a number of people had been celebrating its conclusion via some park-based drinking, given the frequency of beer bottles in Mountsfield. This prevalence meant that, even utilising "the BEAST" bin bag, it only took about half an hour to reach the maximum recommended weight limit!

Some less usual findings included the soles/husks of 2 no. different shoes, less than 6 feet** apart, whilst more common ones were laughing gas bottles.

** pun intended!!
