Woking Report written by Wayne
This evening we headed to Pyrford Church Of England School where we had to tackle a huge bramble bush. We were joined by Rebecca from GG Wandsworth who was in the area for the week. When we saw the bush we had to tackle we thought we had a good few hours of work but with the right tools and James expert gardening knowledge we split up in two teams and tackled the bush from each end. Becky & Harriot scooped up all the brambles that had been cut and disposed them into the skip. A member of the school staff was on site and was amazed how much we done. Refreshing watermelon was provided and it went down a treat. Once we where satisfied with our evening shift we cleared away the tools and headed off the the Anchor along the river for a well deserved drink and some food.
This Sunday Woking Junior Park Run are looking for marshals
The day after we received an email from the school.

As a special football match was taking place at 8pm, we met earlier than usual.
Becky, Liam, James and Anne worked through the newly grown jungle (our plot in the allotment!). We were astonished to see all the work done previously had disappeared so quickly. One bonus: Becky and Liam gathered some wild flowers to enjoy at home.
On James's suggestion, we gave ourselves some achievable targets… we each took a specific row and cleared most of the non-edible plants –or what we thought were non-edible plants.
We did our very best but the football was calling (some of us). So after one hour of continuous hard work (well done Team GG Woking!) we decided to gather our copious crops and aimed for home.
Happy running to everyone.

7 GoodGym-ers spent a lovely evening tonight doing some sweeping, weeding and raking in the gardens at Brockhill Care Home. Arriving to a note with clues of where to find the tools was a fun way to start the task, alongside some water which was appreciated by those who ran along the canal to get to the mission! We divided and conquered a number of the flower beds and made some great progress - lots of hands make light work!

Last night at GoodGym - Woking showed off their agility skills at the RSPCA.
It was lovely to see the dogs getting involved at GG and what a place for them to play. Indie and Bodhi had a great time finding all the toys in the Dog agility compound.
We started off the session with a beautiful loop around the fields of the RSPCA. The pregnant horse from our last visit was now in the field with her foal.
Last night involved tidying up the Agility dog compound, the weeds and brambled had started to take over the edge of the compound. We all did an amazing job and managed to almost clear the entire compound. Everyone was in good spirits and it was nice to see so many friendly faces.
Well done to James and Wayne who competed in the Brutal running event last weekend. It clearly wasn't too Brutal as they are signing up to the next event in August, if anyone fancies joining them, have a chat with them next week about it.
Next week we will be at Brockhill - Lets hope the rain stays away.
This weekend there is a hill training session run by Wayne if anyone is keen then get in touch.
