We are a small charity with limited resources, so jobs like this often fall by the wayside. It helps us to continue to focus on our core work, but also with compost, it means we can have less inputs and save money

Along with two little visitors, tonight the group ran up to Bedford Fields to do various jobs including edge shearing, mulch moving and weeding. It was a big group so we made fast work & got lots done. The two little visitors enjoyed the run but not the gardening as much, but we made it work! They may stay at home in future! Great work all!

Last night was our summer social & so we ran up to Beckett Park to have some fun and games. We got into two teams 'Helen's Hillbillies' & 'Canada' to battle it out with some school sports day type activities! We competed in egg & spoon, 3 legged & sack races & then threw hoops, bean bags & it wouldn't be a summer social without a game of human hungry hippos!! Some highlights were Christian powering ahead in the sack race, Alice & Amy winning the 3 legged race (good team work girls) & Katie falling in the sack race (sorry Katie)! We finished off with a game of rounders and then the final results were in...it was a draw!!
After all the fun, we had a picnic to finish off with a lovely selection of savoury & sweet treats. Thanks all, what a great evening!
Welcome to newcomers Amy & Tracey & congratulations to Katie who has reached 100 good deeds! You're awesome :)

This morning, 7 of us met in the pouring rain at Beckhill Community Garden to saw & hammer posts into the ground to create a dead hedge. Helen pruned tomato plants and Elspeth did some weeding and in hour we'd achieved what we set out to do. Good work all.
Welcome to Helen & Aurora who joined us for the first time. Hopefully see you again.
