This week we saw 10 brave faces clad themselves up in waterproofs for a drizzly trip to the Northern slopes.
Back from a long respite, Goodgym legend Paul returned to the fold to donate his birthday morning to the cause, joining Matt with bramble lopping on the east side. Mirroring their efforts on the west side, we had Nathalie and Julie lop up the pathways from the encroaching bushes.
We had a couple of fresh faces join us too, as Alex and Abigail got stuck right in with the very important task of keeping on top of our previous clearing in the center.
Down at the bottom Sarah, Nathaniel and I swung our scythes around against the overgrowth, whilst Katie loped out a lovely little cove for herself. We're getting closer and closer to opening up the whole patch for wildflowers, and soon the brambles will be but a distant memory!
Thanks all for coming along despite the weather, and extra special thanks to the birthday boy! Have a good one mate!

GoodGymers met at WindHill City farm on a lovely sunny Friday.
Today’s task consisted of weeding around the edges of the paths and walls around middle paddock.
Lovely to see everyone whilst doing good in the community :) well done everyone!

This Saturday we returned to the slopes for another whack n' slash at the overgrowth, and a few other odd jobs to reclaim the land in the name of nature.
Dave and Matt did a great job with the top pathways, whilst Russ, Katie, and Jason sliced and diced their way through an incredible amount of brambles on the south section.
David and I went on a venture deep into the woods to pull out a rusty motorbike carcass, and as a bonus we spotted a TV and hauled that away too.
Thanks for coming everyone! Top work! Next time we might be doing some work on making a nice new path so watch out for the listing coming soon.

This week we returned to the Southville centre to continue our work brightening up the garden and play area. A lot of the features in the play zone need a lick of reddish-brown paint to keep them protected from another year of British weather.
Sarah and I tackled the stairs leading up into the garden section, whilst our secret agent Russ infiltrated the sweeping Community Mission, and brought the crew over to give the playground a bonus sweep.
Katie and Nathaniel teamed up to paint the pillars at the entrance to the playground. With synergy and style, they managed to coat all the posts just in time to pack away.
A job well done and a happy Hugh!
Thanks for coming along everyone, look forward to seeing you again soon. :)
