Warwick & Leamington Spa Report written by Becky McWass
GoodGymers returned to the commyn after the seasonally good weather to clear the litter left from a few parties on the grass.
Becky also completed her 50th good deed by collecting approx 50 bags of dog poop left all over the place and David found the stash of Vodka, whilst michelles litter picker caused some issues being made for the left handed goodgymer. great to have Linda along for the first time in months...

3 Volunteer Marshalls watched 3 GoodGym runners, that had all met before, at the Oversley Woods 10km Trail race. An interesting new starting format due to the current restriction saw a field of over 50 runners and walkers avoid a mass start and made their way around an off road course meandering through the gentle (haha) hills and slopes of Oversley Woods near Alcester. I still don't know who won as with a staggered start it's not necassarily the 1st to finish who is declared the winner. It was just good to see people returning to racing and with GoodGym's (and others) help the event was declared a success. Great to have Coventry and Warwick and Leamington GoodGym represented. See you all soon

Linda Wass earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Linda completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Linda was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

8 Young at heart GoodGym volunteers, Ran, Cheered, Jogged, Cheered, Walked, Cheered, Clapped, Cheered, Encouraged and Cheered some more, to help with organising Park Kids. 1st up (after set-up) of course was the fun of a warm-up, Peter Pan inspired as there were Tinkerbell mentions, captain Hook also got a mention (a good mention), There were Lost Boys (and Girls) and even a Nana ! With warm-up complete (and it was needed), onto the MAIN EVENT of the run, the children (and a few encouraging GoodGymer's) made their way around the circuit. At 250metres 4 laps were needed to complete 1KM, I don't know how many laps in total were completed, but I know most went over 12 laps. Well done to all the children that attended, you gave us GoodGymer's a great Saturday morning. Then some unofficial carParking duties performed by our Run leader so that everyone could get home safely.
