Block or report LYNNE MEREDITH
Sunday 12th April

LYNNE MEREDITH (She/her) completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Lynne has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

Wow! A record 16 litterpickers turned out for Clean Up Charlton's monthly pick... with 9 GoodGymers included. Our 16 bags of rubbish were a bit lighter than usual as they seemed to be half full of cigarette ends - maybe the stress of a 2:1 loss for Charlton Athletic yesterday? And Ivar was on shocking form as you can see...
With such a big group we powered round Anchor & (no) Hope Lane, Bugsby's Way (plenty of MacDonald's litter there) and Woolwich Road before meeting at M&S for the usual celebratory coffee. Today, the team was really the perfect blend.
Here's a great joke from one of our sparky junior litterpickers: "What did the egg say to me when I told it a joke?" ..... wait for it.... "You crack me up!". He's got a future as a GoodGym report writer!
Thanks team for making SE7 a lot nicer. Love you a latte.

Participants gathered at the meeting point for a brief orientation. Gloves, waste bags, and basic cleaning tools were distributed and we all walked to the task point. The activity focused on removing litter, debris, and waste materials from the designated area.Litter, plastics, bottles, papers, and other waste materials were collected. All waste was properly bagged and disposed of at the designated collection point. The dirt‑picking exercise contributes to improve cleanliness, and create a safer environment for residents.

And the Council team and Councillors seemed impressed with the enthusiasm and turnout from Goodgym - hopefully some official Council photos will appear on the RGB website soon! Thanks all for turning out!

3 good-gymers and two SE7 locals came along to Clean Up Charlton on Sunday morning. We tackled the alleyway behind Frankie & Benny's (always a 'good' spot to find a rubbish tip!), and then did a bit along Bugsby's Way. Hopefully the shoppers that came after our clean-up found the area a little nicer than it was beforehand.
Thanks to Greenwich Council as always for the supply of grey rubbish bags and for collecting the bags, and to everyone who came along. Ben, from Charlton, provided lots of entertainment with his stories of hassling local developers to do their bit to clean up and his efforts to dig out blocked drains!
*Sarah's inspired litter-pun!
