It was time to get in the festival spirit with a record number of GoodGymers running, walking and cycling to the British Heart Foundation.
With 18 GoodGymers we split into two teams; one on a festival themed window display and another on dining room tables.
The festival team were all about colour and fun. Shelving units were shifted and filled with tents and sleeping bags, a guitar wall was created, a pink BBQ was assembled and a swinging chair was given a good swing test. A few animals even found their way to the party to complete the display.
The second squad was the ultimate dream team of practical pros! Featuring the powerhouse lineup of Laura, Marcos, Manasa, Jonathan, Anna, JP and Sam. This group turned 'flat-pack frustration' into a total breeze.
The team channeled their inner engineers to fix and assemble table legs with surgical precision. Using pure Goodgym muscle, they hauled a fleet of tables and chairs out of storage and onto the shop floor. In record time, the empty floor space went from 'blank canvas' to 'ready for business' thanks to their hustle.
And as every festival needs a crowd we all squeezed into our mini festival for a group pic.

Today’s mission turned into the perfect girls’ day out.
Rachel, Emily, Manasa and Levita spent the morning at the British Heart Foundation in Kingston, unpacking and assembling furniture, including two mirror cabinets, a coffee table, and an executive chair. It was such a fun, hands-on experience, and we supported each other throughout whenever questions came up. Teamwork really made the whole process even more enjoyable. We wrapped up the session with a well-deserved café stop, where a few of us relaxed over coffee and some lovely girly chatter, the perfect ending to a productive and heartwarming day.

Manasa earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Manasa completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Manasa was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

This morning we welcomed a new member, Manasa, who straight away got stuck in with our tasks. The task included weeding the outside bedding strip and weeding the pots and tiding up the outside of the centre. After this we also tidied up around the back. Laura, Farzeen, Manasa and Emily left satisfied they had done a good job with lovely chats.
In Manasa's own words 'It was a wonderful experience that felt very familiar, as it reminded me of the gardening I used to do back home in India. This activity felt incredibly nostalgic yet energising. I truly enjoyed volunteering here and meeting lovely people, Thank you all.'
