Southwark Report written by Liam
A couple of fresh GoodGym faces showed up at the farm and we got busy helping out with Kateโs โto do listโ. We shifted โthe wrong soilโ from one bed to another. Something about PH level. Then helped level the donkey field with a few wheelbarrows more of the soil. Those patches will get some grass seed. In the sheep field next door we lifted and scraped some wooden slats at the entrance to get the area ready for rotivating. Then we got busy sorting out the messy pot shelves. A couple of recent storms probably didnโt help. Finally we squeezed in a farm tour for newbies Maria and Simon. We said hi to the goats and poked our snouts into the pig house. My faves.

Maria and Sam met Katherine and Steph at St Faith's Community Centre to help sort out the donations being dropped off by the general public. There other tasks included setting up two tables and a clothes rack for the Refugee Open House and since its the last full week of February next week, they got started on packing bags for the rough sleepers, which will be distributed on Tuesday evening.

Maria Pia Tissot earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Maria completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Maria was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Lambeth Report written by Sam Lefevre (he/him)
Running late from attending another community mission, Sam found himself in a room full of volunteers! Aimee, Florence, Maria and Simon were busy taking items out of the shed outside to bring into the main sorting room as with these sessions there are two main tasks:
Initially, Aimee and another GROAD volunteer were busy opening and sorting out donations that were being dropped off whilst Maria and Simon put clothes on hangers on the rail and then moved to putting the rest of the clothes on the tables (wherever there was a spare space). Florence and Sam took care of the children toys table.
To be honest, we were helping each other out wherever we could. There were about 5-6 drop offs during the hour and the biggest drop-off came from a woman who runs a baby bank, but unfortunately we could not accept girls and boys underwear. She understood and took it back. By the time, Sam had to rush over to the next community mission at Old Alleynian Rugby Club (also for Get Rid Of And Donate), everything was pretty much done! After taking our group photo, we went off to enjoy the rest of our Sunday!
Massive kudos to Florence and Maria for attending their first GoodGym session and I hope you'd enjoyed it! It's great to see plenty of volunteers and we just had about enough to do. Remember, there's plenty of goodness happening, so check out the GoodGym website.
