Tonight 19 GoodGymers ran 6km to Mousehold Health to help support the biodiversity in this natural habitat.
It's a regular and popular task on the GG Norwich calender lead by Will the local warden, who provided tools and a gave us a historical background on this famous site.
We split into 2 groups, covering a wide area pulling up bracken to allow heather and other plant species to grow. We also used 5 pitch forks to clear the area of a former chapel ready for a Heritage Open Day History Walk taking place this weekend. See the booking link if you are interested in attending.
We also celebrated the runners, volunteers and cheerleaders, who took to the streets of the city centre for Run Norwich 10km yesterday! Nice one team.
After a swift hours work it was time to bid farewell. We will be back again for more conservation work in the next month.

After a day of torrential rain, luckily we were still able to visit Catton Grove Community Centre.
The two main tasks were to cut back some overhanging trees, which Mark, Alina and Jonathan focused on doing.
While Elizabeth, Maddy, Jennifer and myself got our hoes in action and cleared the weeds in the brickweave leading up to the centre and in the car park.
A few of the gang finished the evening by picking some Cherry Plums.
