Matt Cullane earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Matt completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Matt was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

On a cold and blustery Saturday morning, it was great to have Matt along to help with another successful Edgbaston Reservoir Parkrun. This morning we welcomed 197 runners to this ever growing Birmingham course. Matt took the role of Marshaling at one of the key pinch points, close to the sailing club and I was helping giving out finishing tokens. All the runners seemed to enjoy the morning, despite the windy conditions! Once the final tail walker crossed the line, it was time for a nice breakfast and warm cuppa.

Matt is part of a crowd that's making a huge noise. Matt has been cheered by 25 people - that's a round of applause just on their own. We hope they keep it up.

On what seemed like the wettest evening in living memory, four GoodGymers braved the rain to go for a litter pick on our adopted section of the canal.
We ran down to Livery Street and joined our adopted section of the canal. The canal was a lot cleaner than its been on previous visits we've made, which shows the good work we have been doing alongside the Canal and River Trust to keep on top of this area.
As there wasn't much litter to pick from our adopted section, we carried on picking litter up to the point where we left the bags at Aston Lock, before we ran back to the warm, dry 1000 Trades.
Thanks to everyone for your effort tonight, despite the weather - well done!

This week as if with myself being one Yorkshireman wasn't enough, we had another, yes it was fantastic to meet Michael from GG York enjoy the Brum canals with us.
Tonight's task was to firstly spot the Sustrans National Cycle network signs and secondly clean them. We headed off along the canal all the way to Spaghetti junction, meeting our walking group of Amy, Melanie and Nadia at Aston Lock. They walked North to clean some signs and we ran further to clean the signs up towards Spaghetti. This week's pun came from Jamila, we did have one from Matt, but on running back i've forgot what it was! Anyway i'm sure it's a popular pun for Ace of Base fans!
Once reaching Spaghetti we saw the most amazing sunset, I just had to take a picture! Then the group headed back with Balal, literally running into the sunset! That was a good 10km covered in total, so well done team :)
