Despite finding a PS2 in the creek we weren't here (only) for laughs. In addition to our new games console, we also removed entire sections of fence, a shopping trolley, and a billion small items such as cans, bottles, half a mug, the other half of a mug and plastic bags. We left the creek in a much cleaner state. Hopefully we'll make it spotless the next time we go.

Tonight we had a nice indoor task for Oasis Foundry School. Just five of us were running, with three more meeting us at the school. Well sort of at the school, we were painting the school pantry.
We ran the 3k ish to the task and met met Amy, Sofeen and Mel there. Megan told us what needed doing, so armed with paint, brushes and rollers we got cracking. Everyone got stuck in and we made a good start on the job. We will be back in 2 weeks to finish it off!
Once done we said goodbye to Megan and the walking group and set off back to 1000 Trades, in rather drizzly rain (the stuff Peter Kay, says gets you wet through!) Anyway we arrived back at 1000 Trades somewhat soggy, but that was job done for the night.

Tonight was the last Jewellery Quarter Trust task for a while as the night's draw in, but don't worry we'll be back there doing some Missions on a weekend.
We met Josie and walked up to the cemmetry to do our stuff! Tonight it was chopping down more buddlier and then putting it all in a pile. Everyone did a great job, Josie was so pleased and slightly surprised in how much we got done in around 35 minutes of work! We really did make a difference. Hence why nobody would be gravely disappointed with our work ;-)
Before we went, Balal took some rather snazzy photos as we entered darkness, then we dropped off the tools with our walking group, before heading off for a 5k run.
Balal lead the run, taking us along the canal, onto Brindley Place, past Victoria Square, then back to 1000 Trades and that was job done for the night.

This week as if with myself being one Yorkshireman wasn't enough, we had another, yes it was fantastic to meet Michael from GG York enjoy the Brum canals with us.
Tonight's task was to firstly spot the Sustrans National Cycle network signs and secondly clean them. We headed off along the canal all the way to Spaghetti junction, meeting our walking group of Amy, Melanie and Nadia at Aston Lock. They walked North to clean some signs and we ran further to clean the signs up towards Spaghetti. This week's pun came from Jamila, we did have one from Matt, but on running back i've forgot what it was! Anyway i'm sure it's a popular pun for Ace of Base fans!
Once reaching Spaghetti we saw the most amazing sunset, I just had to take a picture! Then the group headed back with Balal, literally running into the sunset! That was a good 10km covered in total, so well done team :)
