This morning we met with Virginia and Toby from Wild Roots. It was so lovely to meet people who are so passionate about community work. Wild roots have a lot of amazing ideas of how they can further make connections within the community.
Today we weeded an area of land that is going to become a beautiful flower bed. The flowers grown in the flower beds are going to be gifted to people.
After the weeding, there was some rubble removable. The rubble contained so many different types of rock, stone, brick and glass. No hidden treasures were found today.
Virgina and Toby had kindly supplied some biscuits and some tea and coffee. It was a welcomed blessing.
Welcome back Michelle to Goodgym. It doesn't matter how long it has been everyone is always welcome.
We will definitely be connecting with wild roots again. It was a lovely session, in a lovely space with lovely people.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Michelle earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Michelle completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Michelle was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Another Monday in the Toon, and another day of downpours. However, Zeus was very kind and graced us with a lovely evening in the sun.
A big welcome to Michelle on her first GoodGym session.
With all the recent soggy weather, the steps up towards The Cumberland Arms, were in need of summer trim. And armed with a couple of different garden tools, we made our way up, cutting back the foliage, making everything more accessible, and getting some nice compliments from the public as we worked.
Once we reached the top, we made our way to the main road, to cut back a couple of bigger encroaching trees. It was definitely a lovely way to spend an hour or so, and the heavens opened once more not long after we had all said our goodbyes - I hope everyone didn't get too wet!
And as Led Zeppelin once sang: *If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the Goodgym crew*
