Chelmsford Report written by Laurie Chatterjee (she/her)
7 runners cleared 2.5 bags of litter from the Chelmsford streets
We got ready for our session by watching people carry furniture down from a flat, followed litter pick dance/warm up led by David.
We headed to our planned location of Kings Road and started quite quickly after spotting some litter glistening in the leaves. As usual, most of the litter was food and drink packaging, accompanied by possibly the largest mushrooms in Chelmsford, spotted by Joe.
After getting to about halfway down Kings Road, two bags were so full we had to stop and dispose of them. We jogged to Admirals Park to clear any remaining firework debris from the weekend, however it was mostly very clean and we only had a small bag of litter by the time we got to Central Park.
We reminisced about our pub crawl in September, and discussed a couple of future pub crawl plans.
See you all soon,
Laurie

Andy, Nicola and Laurie ran to the River Chelmer to pick litter
I was glad to welcome Nicola to her second goodgym task, and to meet her for the first time!
After finding out that Joe's meeting was running late and Andy had football to watch, we wasted no time in setting off to our planned location by the River Chelmer to pick litter. It was very tidy apart from the usual cigarette butts, so we moved along to near the Essex Record Office where we did find a bit more litter to collect.
We chatted about Nicola's wedding plans for 2023, and today being my two year anniversary, and that Andy may be seeing us at goodgym on his birthday in two weeks!
Good to meet up for a brief good deed on a dark Wednesday, even if my only photo of the evening suggests I'm shinier and balder than in real life.
I've also included a photo of Gaia at Chelmsford Cathedral, which I saw on Monday evening and highly recommend if you haven't been already!

Chelmsford Report written by Tav (he/him)
"What's that Skippy? There's a cottage down at Interact Creek that needs clearing?"
Seven Goodgymers donned their Hi-vis and trainers to brave the blustering wind and run to help Interact clear their cottage ready for their next chapter as they continue to provide a beautiful service to young people in and around Chelmsford.
We welcomed Nicola for her first good deed for Goodgym (woohoo) and Joe set the pace to lead the way down to Moulsham Mill.
The lovely Susie met us and explained the task and told us about the wonderful work Interact do. We were asked to clear out the house and fill the skip outside. But tonight was bittersweet as many items held sentimental value and the urge to reuse and recycle had to be balanced with the need to clear out the cottage.
It did not take long for our team to fill the skip and we ended the task taking the saved items over to the old Mill in the outback of Chelmsford. There was a sense of achievement as we ran back to base with our very own young Joey!!!
Struth mate this report has tenuous links!
