Seven Good Gym members met at Avenue House Finchley to plog. ( well most of us did). Five of us chatted and warmed up in the old stable yard of the grade two listed house and chatted about our favourite puddings! We then set off on a social distant run picking up our sixth runner Claire who was locking up her bike also called Claire. ( I know its bizarre). So now we were six runners (but still not magnificent) until we ran into Kat . Now we were the magnificent seven and ready to do battle with our trusty pickers. We spent the next thirty minutes clearing the foot path of detritus. This included tins of alcohol, crisp bags and even a hubcap.! ( nice one John) It was a mild and pleasant evening for a targeted stroll. We then deposited our rubbish bags for collection and ran back the 2 km Avenue house for a warm down and stretch. Shout out for Vicki with a last minute sign up. Ivana for coming from Watford. Patricia on her second good deed
Thanks for coming it was fun and we did some good.

Patricia earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Patricia completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Patricia was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Eight Good gym members gathered at the entrance to Cold fall woods to help the friends remove a dangerous wood structure (Den) and repair the fence line protecting the new growth. (Very impressively Claudia and Hanry arrived early and wanted to use the extra time to do further mileage on their run. Give them a shout out along with the other new starters, Jess, Jenny, Guillaume, Patricia. ( click on the red name link to see their profile and like) Lets also shout out for Sarah with 17 good deeds! We gathered again inside the wood to meet Linda from the friends and took the opportunity introduce ourselves and chatted about our favorite UK holiday destination. Dorset , Cornwall, the Lakes and Scotland to name a few. Linda then outlined what we needed to do and we set about destroying the den structure and carrying its components to the fence line that needed repair. See photo of how the simple fence line protects the new growth compared to the other parts of the wood. It was a good work out with some heavy logs! We finished an hour later and gathered again to say our goodbyes.
Thanks for coming you did good!
keeping moving and exploring. Paul
Claudia said It was my first mission today and I felt it was very well organised and all runners were really lovely. Can’t wait to sign up for another one!
Linda said Thanks ... Brilliant job! please feel free to make any further comments below.
ps I included a photo of the Mond mausoleum at the local St Pancras and Islington cemetery seen taken on my run home. See the size of a house! The cemetry is open sundays and makes for a nice quiet run!
