This run was a special collaboration with the South London based run club, Hills Pay The Bills. Since Melbourne Grove is part of there infamous 7 Hills route, it only made sense for us to collaborate with them once I got the news that someone needed help with 6 public planters in the same area.
We met at Denmark Hill Station then run 1.2km (no hills this time) to Melbourne Grove to meet with Pip, the lovely women who took it upon herself to maintain the public planters. She provided us with equipment, then from there we got involved with some litter picking and weeding. Unknown to me, the majority of the group had experience with gardening, one member even has her own garden. Amazing work form Katheryne, Rene, Reon and Faime.
Once the job was done, we were offered some baked goods that Pip baked herself (they were amazing), then we ran back to Denmark Hill. Since the group is called Hills Pay The Bills, it's only right that we went up at least one hill so we ran up the final hill on the 7 Hills course to get to Denmark Hill, then we parted ways.
