Ealing Report written by Jenni H
On Tuesday, we had a great turnout, with 17 GoodGymers coming together (at a distance!) to help out at the Transition garden. We also welcomed first timer Francesca and celebrated Milly's 100 deeds milestone!
With lots to be done, we all chose our tools and set to work, chopping, pruning the hedges and pulling out brambles. Lots of work needed, but they were no match for us and we soon had a huge pile of trimmings and cuttings to show for our efforts!
It's true, time does fly when you're having fun - an hour down and we could have kept going, but the call of dinner, or a take-away pint and the fading sunshine meant we called it time for today.

A hearty bunch of Goodgymmers from across London gave up two hours of their Saturday afternoons to help at City London Harvest.
http://www.cityharvest.org.uk/
We had a Mountain of fresh food to sort through in particular Kale and Red Onions, there was a lot of other food to be sorted out bread/veg/fruit/meats/fish/ ready meals, and delivery Vans to be loaded.
For the Kale it was a “Fairytale Ending” after two pallets had been sorted through and placed in crates ready to be dispatched.
The Onion-Crew did well to not shed a tear when sorting through “The Never Onion-nding Story” smiled the whole way through....
Along with this we completed one of the more arduous tasks of sorting the plastic crates - This was done with a mixture of smiles and brute force.
We had some achievements today notably Sam from Southwark gaining his Wings by completing his 100th Good Deed, and Marc from Croydon completing his 1st Good Deed.
This was a fun way to spend a couple of hours laughter and good spirits throughout the two hours flew by whilst the task was achieved.
This is a regular Ealing Community Mission on the first Saturday of every month:

Thanks Paul for the 100th deed mention! At the moment, it's 99 as Newham community mission before the food bank hasn't been registered. Hopefully soon! 😊👍

Sam earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Sam completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Sam was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Ealing Report written by Liv Parker-Scott
On Saturday 18th January GoodGym Ealing hosted a whole day of good deeds in the borough including filling all the volunteer roles at Gunnersbury parkrun, litter picking our way around Gunnersbury Park afterwards, sorting surplus food and organising crates at City Harvest and finishing up for another litter pick in Acton Park.
Part 4:
For good deed number four, the last of the day, we assembled in Acton Park ready to clear as much as we could in an hour to round off a lovely day of good stuff. It didn't take long to fill bags of rubbish and recycling left, right and centre!
In it for the long haul, the following GoodGymers took part in ALL FOUR sessions today, give 'em a cheer!
