Its always nice doing a Walk Together session, especially when the weather is good and going past some gorgeous areas! Just check out some of those pictures!
Was amazing having 8 people at the session with Yazid at their first session and getting to welcome Lindsay & Sammi back for their first sessions in a while.
When walking through Crabtree Plantation Charli, Yazid and myself may have got a little distracted by the playground, where we all managed to get ourselves tangled up.
Make sure to check out the other Rambler Run sessions in the area here https://www.bvaction.org.uk/wellbeingwalks

Last nights session at the Rucstall Community Centre was great, Evelyn, Tazmin & I met at the Social Club before walking to the Community Centre where Samantha & Charli met us.
The mission for the day was to clear the back patio of weeds, blackberrys and leaves to make it a usable space. We managed to smash this job in less than an hour making a huge difference to the space!
So on the way back we decided to do some litter picking through War Memorial Park, and then had a well earned dinner and drinks from the Basingstoke Sports & Social Club.

Wow! That was an incredible session at the YMCA in Basingstoke. Tazmin, Charli, Samantha & I went to the YMCA in Basingstoke to assist with some gardning.
The YMCA provides affordable living for 80 young people, however as we learned last night it provides so much more than that. The sense of community and belonging was immediately obvious with 20 residents having already started gardening before we arrived with the vibes high.
After a quick introduction and safety conversation we got into the gardening. And wow did we achieve alot! So many branches were cut, the whole back of the space was cleared, litter was picked and a pathway cleared.
Then the best bit of all, LASAGNA was provided to the residents and our volunteers which was delicous and a nice way to meet more people.
We can't wait to be back here on the 6th of May for our next session.

Tazmin once again did an amazing job leading this weeks GoodGym session!
With Evelyn & Samantha joining for the litter picking around Memorial Park.
It continues being great seeing that Basingstoke is pretty clean, and the park especially was in good condition with less rubbish found than last week.
Thursday 5th March

Samantha Gray completed 5 good deeds with GoodGym.
Samantha is a now a pretty committed GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the fifth time

We joined with the Ramblers for a walking session this week, the weather was exceptional and really clear.
It was great having Samantha & Tazmin join us at the Social Club and then Charli meet us along the way.
It was a really nice route through the War Memorial Park, around Black Dam and throug a bit of Crabtree Plantation where we saw some very cute rabbits!
When it gets a touch lighter we can extend this further into Crabtree

In a bit of a wet and wild evening we went out for a litter pick to make sure that the paths the free Lets Glow! exhibition were safe.
It was lovely having Evelyn & Tazmin join from the Sports & Social Club and then Samantha meet us halfway along!
They also kindly introduced me to the Wote Street willy which I somehow waled past for 18 months without noticing..
All in all it was a great evening (if wet) and the Lets Glow! is going to be amazing, I hope everyone gets to enjoy it.

Okay warm might have been a stretch.. But it definitely wasn't as cold as previous weeks have been!
It was a really fun evening picking up a lot of litter and chatting the whole time. We found some pretty weird stuff such as, a torn up football in 15 different parts, a single glove, half a bottle of vodka and I got taught once again about different English sweets.
It was lovely meeting Madeline for the first time and thank you to Charli & Samantha meeting us partway through the session!
I think it was Tazmin's 4th session in a row while Evelyn showed off her fancy new litter picker!
