Slough Report written by Manjit Birk
This week’s challenge was a love it or hate it type of session… On paper it looked ok.. after all, an 8 is just a 0 with a belt on so in theory this should have been as easy as pi….but it wasn’t, so I salute the die hard 7 who undertook this challenge.
A numbers game of 8 exercises and 8 rounds as a starter for 10…then the general ruler was to minus the last exercise after each round….I was subtracted to that idea.
It was going to be 6 rounds but decided against that as 6 is afraid of 7, because 7 8 9…
So to sum it up….you did in total:
64 Burpees, 56 Jump squats, 48 – Walkout push ups, 40 - Star Jumps, 32 – Reverse lunges, 24 – Plank shoulder taps, 16 – Russian twists, 8 – High knees….
On the hottest day so far I was all fired up and radii to go…but 90 degrees of heat is enough for anyone’s form to get a bit obtuse! By round 6 I was done!...but I managed to build up sum courage and make it all count. Though with a few niggles this week, I had to be squareful not to cause an injury and took my time in completing the course.
Great to have Nital join us on his first training session with us. He had a gradient expression on his face during those shoulder tap planks, and Seema from Westminster too also joining us for the first time.
Meera cut into those angles during the Russian twists, very acute!
Sutyee numbered up before starting those reverse lunges, a perfect 90 degree angle - Sut is always right.
Sara braved it and sent us a video clip of her workout! Like the Pi piper she got lots of followers for that on insta!
But my final estimation goes to Jen on her 9 square photo collage! She’s defin8ly stolen the photo crown this week.
For our next challenge, it’s a scavenger type of hunt for the locations or items of key workers. There are 14 to find plus 3 bonus ones:

Enjoy!

Westminster Report written by Joel Wiles
9 Westminster GoodGyming Goodgymers ran 5.5k to St Andrews youth club and stuffed 750 letters to help the youth club get some much needed funding!!
Setting of from the warmth of Marshall Street Leisure Centre into the Central London Chill. Navigating the hassle of Piccadilly as we headed around St James’ park as we hit our stride. Great pace and form as the distance was covered.
Reaching St Andrew’s Youth club, one of Westminster’s most important youth institutions and a safe haven for so many young people.
Tonight’s task was to fill as many letters and address them for a local business who in term then provided funding for the clubs news letter as well as new computers for the club.
An awesome production line and some motivational encouragement from the club’s members meant we were flying!! Filling so many letters it was crazy totalling up 750 completed letters in 40 minutes!! To warm us up for the run back we were given some lovely stuffed peppers from the youth clubs cooking class!!
Swift run back and our job was complete!!
Great work and see you next week for some more fun on the run!!
