11 GoodGymers ride the heat wave and lift all the heavy things!
The new Triangle Site Community Garden is the latest project from the (wonderful) Global Generation team.
Set on a quiet side road off busy York Way in King's Cross, the Triangle is a permanent community garden that has been built from the ground up by volunteers, gardeners, builders, and more. It is haven for sustainable building and growing, and you should definitely visit!
This group arrived primed and ready to lift and move and repeat, which is what they did splendidly!
Our task started and ended at a large storage container sat right by the busy train tracks heading in and out of King's Cross, and we...
...emptied everything, including scary-looking machinery, crates upon crates upon crates, and many copies of Good Woodworking, and then we...
...carried umpteen planks of heavy wood into the container and organised them into perfect Jenga towers, and finally we...
...waved to many trains and received a few hearty waves in return!
Thank you, everyone!!
And a big thank you to Ariane, Emily, and Ralf for the wonderful photos!

9 GoodGymers nearly attend a Camden country and western gig!
The Greenwood Centre in Kentish Town is tucked away. The railway line rumbles behind. And the Kentish Town Forum is usually far enough away to be completely unnoticeable.
Usually...
But not on Wednesday evening! When the Forum's queue snaked far and long, so far that it stretched in front of (and beyond!) the Greenwood Centre!
Amidst a mass of stetsons and cowboy boots, this lovely group โ of Gary, Giulia, Helen, Lydia, Pritika, Siobhan, Steve, and Thierry โ arrived ready to make a lovely difference for this communal green space!
And they did a bucket load!
๐ One (pretty huge) compost bin was emptied, washed, and aired, leaving the fertile mulch ready for use!
๐ One bay tree was delicately trimmed and pruned ready for spring and summer to come!
๐ Countless weeds were cut and scraped, leaving healthy wildflowers free to thrive!
Thank you, everyone! See you next time!

12 GoodGymers caught sixty springโsunโshining minutes in Camden!
Under bright blue skies โ and as rush hour pushed into twilight โ lovely people started arriving at the Cecil Sharp House garden yesterday evening.
Some were dressed in red and everyone looked locked and ready for some form of altruistic action!
First we said a big hello to our three new faces ๐ welcome to the group, Giulia, Maggie, and Sarah!!
Second we said hello to our regular faces ๐ great to see you Ariane, Helen, Jackie, John, Karen, Siobhan, Theo, and Thierry!
And third... we played Simon Says!
Which loosened our limbs and prepared us perfectly for the wonderful difference this group made:
๐ Every yard and metre (even every inch!) of pathway was swept free of litter and blossom
๐ Sackfuls of weeds from nooks and crannies were plucked ready for composting
๐ Bundles of leaves and debris disappeared leaving the greenhouse space spic and span
Thank you, everyone! See you soon!
P.S. Thank you to Ariane for the many photos!
P.P.S. Thank you for Theo for taking the group photo!

13 GoodGymers jumped into nature yesterday evening!
This was our first session at our regular haunt, Cecil Sharp House, that felt like spring. It was bright and light, and the forecast thunder swerved us completely ๐
Which meant that this wonderful group had fine conditions to make a wonderful difference!
And alongside our special and experienced GoodGym faces (Ariane, Gary, Jackie, John, Karen, Sarah, Siobhan, and Thierry) we welcomed first timer Ikram (welcome!) and second-timers Ellen, Giulia, and Krista (great to see you again!) โค๏ธ
And together we:
๐ Transformed a twig-and-weed-strewn lawn into a perfect patch of green!
๐ Pruned overgrown shrubs and bushes!
๐ Planted fresh seeds for flowers yet to blossom!
๐ Gave every inch of paving a weed-cutting and broom-sweeping manicure!
๐ Turned a mountainous pile of leaves and clutter into the tidiest spot!
Thank you, everyone! Here's to next time!
