Mr G's Friday night mission extravaganza had Sevan squatting for an hour in Mr G's front garden. Not that unusual a sight in the summer when there's lots of weeding to be done.

Mr G had had some roofing felt laid down last year to stop weeds growing in his flower beds and that had made a big difference. The weeds find a way though and they were coming up from under the felt as well as cracks in the concrete. The good news was that the most common invader was easily pullable from the soil without needing any tools.

Sevan worked around the flower beds while chatting to Mr G, picking anything out that was growing in the wrong place. That included a decorative plant that Mr G had planted and had then decided to relocate itself around the garden. Cue classic discussion on what is or isn't a weed. Sevan also found a tiny oak sapling, which was plucked out before it could become a tree-sized problem.

After the squatting, the other plants looked like they could do with a good drink, especially with the hot weather coming. Two watering cans later, the pots were ready for the weekend and the garden was nice and tidy 🌞.
