Thoroughly enjoyed helping out the fabulous team at Mitcham Community Orchard & Garden and learned new skills for sawing, chopping and bashing woody broccoli stalks into fibrous pieces for composting ๐Ÿ’ช Whoโ€™d have thought there was so much to it! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Š Huge thanks ๐Ÿ™ to Ms K, Ms R, Mr C and, oh dear I canโ€™t remember (or display) all of your names ๐Ÿ˜ณ but all were so incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly and the experience and fresh air was truly invigorating and socially enriching - particularly as my day job involves sitting lonesome at a pc screen all day! Highly recommend this beautiful and very productive garden for doing much good in the community. Thoroughly enjoyable and fun morning, and I hope to return again soon for one of their Action Saturdays ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜Š

As Merton's local environmental charity, we aim to inspire, mobilise and enable our community to take action on climate change and protect our environment for future generations. Sustainability and wellbeing go hand in hand, so our projects address both environmental and social goals, such as addressing the cost of living crisis and strengthening community connections. We believe that a happier, healthier, more connected community is one that will have the greatest impact.
