A lovely lunchtime mission with Marianne in Lockleaze to help facilitate Ms G’s return home from nursing care, by creating some space in her living room.
Our task was to move a three seater sofa from the living room out to a chalet hut in the back garden and we were met by Ms G’s neighbour, Mr G, together with a member of the Discharge to Access team, K, who outlined the plan to us.
Mr G decided to take off the door from the living room to the kitchen and with a lot of twisty-turny and tippy-uppy we managed to manoeuvre the sofa through the kitchen and then through the back room and across the garden into the chalet hut.
We had already rearranged some furniture items in the chalet hut to make enough room to fit the sofa in but it was not long before we had finished - or so we thought.
We offered to assist Mr G with putting the living room door back on which seemed to take just as long as the rest of the task, but gave us a good opportunity about all sorts of things not least the great parties that Ms G must have hosted back in the day, with a jukebox in the living room and a bar in the chalet hut 🎶 💃🍷
Nice one Marianne on completing her first mission and coming up with some genius puns - I chose this one as it seemed the most apt! 😉
