It was pouring down with rain early in the morning and still raining near the start time of Charlton park run today. The rain did not deter keen park runners particularly eight first comers join the run this morning!
We were celebrating Steve’s 50th and Stephen’s 100th park run. What an achievement for both!
Today’s run was supported by Sara as the run director, the twins Alex and Steve were the pacers, Julian and Marta were the marshals, Linda helped with the pre-run set up and I was the first timers welcome person.
The course was muddy, slippery and had pools of water in certain places over the course. Heavier rain kicked in about 10 minutes after the run started. This bad weather conditions did not stop two runners getting a new PB!
Eight five runners and walkers participated today’s event - hats off to all. Rain or shine will not stop us!
