With the Jan Challenge complete, February commenced and luckily without any ice underfoot.

This week we welcomed 2 new runner into the GG flock. Big woop hola and cheers for;

Hope you enjoyed your run and see you back next week!

This week we were back off to the Durham Ox which was in need of another bit of GG love as the section of the National Cycle Network had become leafy and littered so once we met with SUSTRANS SIMON and got tooled up we got straight to work;

  • Litter picking
  • Cutting back
  • Sweeping
  • Moving big rocks
  • Shoveling mud and leaves

We also had a crack team of 4 Red Hot GG Peppers who headed 'Under the Bridge' to give the special treatment to another nearby bit of NCN.

The GG crew certainly brushed up nicely and left the path good enough to eat off, well nearly...

Overheard this week;

Don't talk to him, he's a cyclepath...

On route back to base after a quick group photo we made some stops for some FANTASTIC FITNESS which this week included:

  • Suicide sprints (uphill)
  • Step Up's
  • Box Jump's
  • Group Squats
  • Group Squat Jumps
  • Group Front Lunge's
  • Group Rear Lunges
  • Static Sprints
  • Steel City Stair Sprint
  • A lot of stairs....

After a bit of a stretch off and hearing news of the Jan challenge results, last weeks good deeds and whats upcoming we headed in for liquid refreshment and chats.

Until next week, happy running! :)
