Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sarah Place
13 wonderful runners ran 3km to spread the word about the Bexley Colour Run!
We just about dodged the rain last night. Phew! Otherwise that would have made for some rather sad and soggy flyers.
A smaller group than usual and a larger wad of leaflets than usual... not the most ideal combo but I remained hopeful!
We split off into two groups. Alex and Steve taking their group to the East while my lot stayed around Greenwich station and town centre.
We had 45 mins to get rid of as many as we could before reconvening for a fitness session!
My group was onto a winner quite early on with the rows of letterboxes outside some blocks of flats. Such a quick win! Weird event of the night award goes to Jennie who was posting a flyer and was greeted by an adult sized hand waiting to grab it off her as she pushed open the letterbox! I think she shot out of that garden in a flash!
Our time deadline was approaching so we headed back to the uni with sadly a few flyers in hand. Group 2 showed us up as they arrived back on time AND managed to distribute all their leaflets. NICE!
We finished off the session with some more running and adding in a few fast bursts to get the legs ticking over nicely. Then went back and had a stretch!
Community mission at the Colour Run
As I mentioned, you can also help out at the Colour Run on the day itself. They are looking for people to help with setting up and marshalling etc. There will be a few people from GoodGym Bexley actually running in the event so it should be a fun day! If you're interested, all the info is here
Great work last night everyone! Hopefully they will have a great turnout on the day thanks to you all! See you next week for some wall washing!
