18:45 - 20:35This is the first of four runs for people training for the 2018 marathon.
The session will be lead by marathon runner and coach Paul Bown.
We'll be running from the London Marathon store on Bishopsgate.
On this run we'll baseline our fitness and work on setting achievable goals for the big day.
We'll also work on how we fit the training into our busy lives.
By the end of the session you should:
-Know what your target pace is.
-Know what your target pace feels like to run.
-Have some useful tips for keeping to your training plan.
-Have helped out at a community project in a borough that the London Marathon goes through.
This session is for people running the marathon. It may be longer than a standard GoodGym run.

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us or see if there's a starter session coming up in your area.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at the London Marathon Store, and the London Marathon Store and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages

What to look out for
Age Restriction
GoodGym welcomes anyone aged 18 or over. If you are under 18 then you will be unable to participate in any GoodGym activity
