We're a friendly and social group who combine running with volunteering in the local community. We meet every Wednesday to get active and do a physical task for community organisations in the area. This week we're joining forces with GoodGym Greenwich for something a little different!
This week's extra special session!
We've done some work in the woodlands at the Memorial Hospital, creating a clearing for mindfulness sessions, bonfires and time to connect with nature for patients and staff in the hospital. This week, Creative Nature HQ and Oxleas in Bloom are putting on an immersive session - nature meets ancient crafts and mindfulness - for us to enjoy!
Whatโs on offer?
- Mindful time in nature - reduce stress, boost wellbeing, and reconnect with the outdoors.
- Learn ancient crafts - try your hand at wood carving, weaving, and other traditional skills.
- Create something lasting - help build a beautiful, sustainable space for all to enjoy.
- Guided by experts - the Creative Nature HQ team will lead each session with care and creativity.
- Pause and recharge - have a cup of herbal tea at woodland by the fireplace.
The run
Our run this week be about 3km each way and we will be running up Shooters Hill on the way there (but down hill on the way back!). Everyone is welcome at any pace - we never leave anyone behind! You're welcome to meet at the task if you don't fancy the run!
๐When and where
We will meet slightly earlier at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start at the Welling Cannon on the corner of Bellegrove Road and Welling High Street.
If you'd like to meet at the task, you're very welcome to do so! We will be there about 7.20pm. The address is the Memorial Hospital, Shooters Hill Road, SE18 3RG and we will meet in car park B. The what-three-words location is "scar.stale.goals".
With the run back we should be all wrapped up by 8.30pm.
What to bring
Please bring some gloves if you have some, otherwise it's just yourself!

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us or see if there's a starter session coming up in your area.
