On Sunday morning, a group of us volunteered with GoodGym and Cancer Research UK at Oxford’s Race for Life.
We took on a range of roles—from pacing and marshalling to handing out well-earned snacks and medals at the finish line. A special shout-out to Emma for completing her first GoodGym task and for bringing extra energy with her fantastic handmade signs to cheer everyone on!
The atmosphere was really positive, with strong support from spectators and a great turnout for the 5km and 10km races.
A huge congratulations to everyone who took part and raised an incredible amount of money for Cancer Research UK!

A trio of goodgymers helped out at the CRUK Race for Life event this weekend.
There was talk of starter canons, flag waving and launching freebies at the participants, but those tasks were sacrificed for a chance to run the 10k route.
We helped prep medals before the run, zipped round the 10k then handed out medals, snacks and water to the 10k and 5k participants.
Particular highlights included dogs earning medals, a lady doing the 5k pushing a buggy containing 4 rabbits (she runs a rabbit rescue charity) and a good number of T-Rex costumes.
The Oxford event raised a whopping £188,000!
A special round of applause and shiny gold star to Anna who marked her 4 year anniversary of running EVERY DAY with the 10k. An ATHLETE.
