Robert and MiniGGer Milo joined the volunteers for a rather blustery morning at Forest Rec thanks to Storm Boelo.

A hardy bunch of 25 kids finished the run despite the weather, and Milo claims he gave out at least 100 high fives with his big foam hand.

it was a bit nippy at the Forest Recreation for Junior parkrun.

Amongst the fallen leaves Peter put on his hi-viz and helped cheer on 41 young runners who ran and walked around the 2km course.

it might be 9:00 in the morning but I recommend it as a great way to start your Sunday (and the cafe does great coffee and cakes!!!)

Tracey and Gwyn were at Forest Rec junior parkrun and met the friendly group once more. It was Gwyn's CCCCth session of parkrun volunteering. We were both marshals and then eaters of breakfast!

It was another Sunday morning in hi-viz for three GoodGymers helping out at Forest Rec Junior parkrun. And we were much needed as 111 youngsters ran and walked to the finish boosted by a takeover from Haydn Primary School. Task Force members Leah and Rachel were also spotted trying to keep up with their respective young ones!

Marshalling around the 2km course were Elspeth and Tracey (who had crossed the border from GG Derby - was great to see you!) whilst Peter was given the responsibility of barcode scanning.

All passed off incident free and volunteer and GoodGym credits awarded

Peter was in the junior parkrun hi-viz at marshal point number 5 as 43 runners and walkers ( not counting their "responsible" adults) made their way around the 2km course.

It was also good to see green returning to the grass at Forest Rec.

On a (thankfully) cooler morning Elspeth and Peter put on the Junior parkrun hi-viz at Forest Rec.
