A beautiful morning spent marshaling at Milton Country parkrun. Basking in the sunshine and to the backdrop of birdsong, I cheered 368 people round the course. At both ends of the spectrum, I congratulated someone on their first ever parkrun and there was a 500th parkrun celebration (with cake)! Well done to everyone who took part ๐
Not strictly parkrun tourism, but definitely worth noting, on the other side of the world Caroline has been taking on a new challenge, hiking in Peru. The highest a GoodGym Cambridge T-shirt has travelled (4215m)! An amazing achievement, well done ๐ช

It was a chilly start for Milton Country parkrun, but the amazing 287 finishers were full of smiles.
With near perfect conditions on the course (not too muddy and not too dry and gravelly) there were even 44 PBs!
The volunteer crew were full of cheer (quite literally in my case, marshalling) making for an enjoyable morning.

Another beautiful morning for volunteering at Milton Country parkrun โ๏ธ
We have really lucked out with the weather at Milton recently, and being set in the country park, it certainly boosts the mood. It also meant a lot less mud for everyone!
I was marshalling today, and alongside cheering, had the important role of ensuring everyone turned right towards the finish funnel on the 3rd lap.
Congratulations to all 271 runners and walkers, especially those reaching PBs and milestones (there were lots!). Extra kudos to the person running in a boot on crutches and absolutely flying round!
We'll be back for more next month ๐

Making the most of a crisp, clear morning, GoodGym were out bright and early at parkrun this weekend.
Daiana, Ross and Josie arrived early to help set up the course at Milton Country Park. With the sun shining, blue skies overhead and a few lingering puddles on the paths, conditions were chilly (around 0ยฐC!) but absolutely perfect for a winter run.
Around 200 runners and walkers joined the event, proving that the cold was no match for parkrun spirit โ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ Daiana took on marshalling duties, cheering participants around the course, while Ross was busy scanning barcodes at the finish. Josie supported with token sorting and helped ensure the set-up ran smoothly from start to finish.
A joyful morning, great teamwork, and another successful parkrun completed โ well done everyone ๐

This morning we were back at a gloriously sunny and crisp Milton Country Park parkrun ๐งฃ๐งค
Caroline woke up bright and early to help with pre-event set-up, walking a lap of the course to put out signs and cones to guide the runners and walkers, and then gave the first timers briefing. Helping out before the start meant Caroline could brave the cold and still run, proudly showing off her GoodGym tshirt and parkrun volunteer socks! ๐งฆ
Catherine took on the fabulous role of congratulating and handing out tokens to the relieved finishers, keeping warm at the finish line and making new friends ๐
After the event, everyone celebrated with a man named Gordon on his 500th parkrun! ๐ What an amazing achievement, the GoodGymers are feeling suitably inspired.
The girls then went to a local cafe for coffee and pastries, for some added social fun ๐ฅโ๏ธ
What a wonderful start to our weekend!

This morning, GoodGym were helping out at Milton Country parkrun ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Alexandra represented while running and helped with close-down, and Caroline gave the first timers briefing and handed out finish tokens. It was lovely to see people smiling as they completed their first parkrun!
We were excited to learn that there will be a parkrun on new year's day, so watch this space! ๐
