This morning Samuel, Jen and I were on a promotional mission to tell all those who would listen about GoodGym Slough! (and junior parkrun)
Jen and I arrived after our parkrun sessions first thing this morning and were raring to partyyyyyy!
What I didn't know was that whilst I was distracted giving the GG team updates on whatapp I had inadvertently said yes to doing the Silent Disco with Jamie from Slough CVS!
So whilst Jen now manning the desk by herself I went off for a 1.5mile walk/dance/boggie around Slough's most iconic buildings...
Luckily Samuel then joined and did a superb job of promoting us!
Met some lovely new people who hopefully will sign up; join in and #DoGood
Great networking event!

The final task of our January Challenge as we all smashed it! 135 good deeds done and dusted!
Well done to everyone who did something good for Slough. Be it litter picks with your little ones, food bank donations or phone calls to the elderly
Now lets enjoy February

Manjit and Helen joined Slough CVS at their end of year volunteer fayre in Cippenham. It was an opportunity to network with other volunteers in Slough and celebrate the successes this year, all the while promoting Goodgym and encouraging new recruits. There was lots to celebrate - awards, votes of thanks and even Slough CVS 90th birthday with cake and song and lots of presents!

Today Helen and I went to a Slough Networking event to promote GoodGym.
We met so many new contacts and exchanged lots of information on how we could collaboratively work together.
It took me 1.5 hours to eat my baguette - thats how much I had to talk!

So... I hit 500 good deeds today and i'm so pleased to have had such a fantastic day with Claire.
We started off at the track running an intervals session, then headed off to Black Park for a litter pick and wreath making session with our task owner Laura..
A bit of lunch was consumed in between all this fitness and doing good

Today we were celebrating the life of Jo Cox by getting involved in the Jo Cox Foundation Great Get Together.
The Great Get Together is an initiative designed to bring communities together which takes place every year on the weekend of Jo Cox’s birthday in June. Each year GoodGym supports this wonderful initiative.
So after our usual Sunday junior parkrun, 4 of us got together to walk, chat and litter pick our home park.
Even the weather was kind today, the litter droplets stayed away until we had finished collecting 3 bags of rubbish.
Thank you to everyone who got involved.
