Mulch Work, Teamwork!

Thursday 5th March

Written by Jalal El Farmawi

Today we worked together in the garden to improve the soil and tidy the area. First, we spread the black compost that was in the large bag across the garden beds to enrich the soil and support plant growth. Next, we moved and distributed the mulch that can be seen in the photos. The team worked together to carry and spread it around the garden paths and planting areas. We also emptied the large pile of woodchip mulch that was covered with the blue pallet. After emptying it, we turned and moved the mulch so oxygen could get into it and rainwater could reach it. This helps the compost break down properly and improves the soil quality in the garden.
