A small but solid crew were tasked with distributing booklets for York Disability week to various organisations, cafés, cinemas, shops and churches around the York area. I teamed up with Claire whilst the others worked solo but between us we got them all delivered despite some very rainy weather.

A small but select Friday group met at base camp (aka Ed's house) where boxes of brochures, posters and flyers had been dropped off. These were to advertise York Disability Week which promotes an equal, inclusive and accessible York with in-person and online events across the city. See www.yorkdisabilityweek.org for more details.
Our task was to distribute these (quite weighty) brochures etc to various places locally including community centres, churches and halls and also any other cafés and shops in the vicinity that would take them to get the word out about these upcoming events.
Myself and Nikki loaded up our bike bags and set off after Michael had already set off with his heavy running backpack stuffed full. I had a lovely chat with a chap at Shopmobility York and got some useful information about what they do. Ed will deliver his locally over the weekend to finish off our list of designated places.
