Carol, Caroline, Karen and Sheila were given the job of doing checks on the school uniform donations at the Baby Bank. They were checked for the usual criteria of cleanliness and being in good condition. once finished we moved onto the adult clothing - it made a change but definitely not as cute as the baby stuff!

Carol, Caroline, Karen and Sheila met at the Baby Bank. We were pleased to find that all our hard work last week had not been undone, and that the travel cots still contained our neatly labelled bags. With a temporary stop on new donations coming in we were able to sort through the bags we had , and fill up all the boxes and overflow storage bags with the quality-checked items. The Baby Bank can now issue a wish-list of the items and age ranges we are short of.We also helped put together referral packs for families in need, which is what it's all about. Another productive morning's work

It was a challenging morning for Goodgymers Carol, Caroline, Karen and Sheila. The Baby Bank has been inundated recently with clothes donations. While they have a temporary stop to taking any clothes, our task was help order the donations bags we already have. They were in a right old mess - some unlabelled bags, some in the wrong storage travel cot, and many contained a huge mix of clothes for different age groups. We spent the morning inspecting what was in each bag, labelling each bag clearly with the gender and age group, and making sure it was in the correct storage place. Now any volunteer looking for a specific size should be able to select the correct bag. The facility looked so much more ordered and tidier when we were finished. Thanks to everyone for putting in a much longer shift than normal to make sure we finished the job

Caroline, Karen and Sheila helped out at the Baby Bank this morning, quickly settling into the routine of checking and sorting clothes donations. Luckily the facility had invested in 2 large fans to keep the volunteers cool, and boy, did we need them! Most bizarre find in the donation bags was a turkey baster. Not something we've ever been asked for!

Caroline and Karen spent an enjoyable morning at the Baby Bank. It was a hot morning but they provided fans to cool us down. Caroline was on first checks with a corporate team while Karen did the second checks. It was satisfying to fill up some of the boxes which had run very low with new donations.
