Liverpool Report written by Sam Knott
Five of Liverpool's finest Good Gymmers attended North Liverpool Food bank to continue Monday's efforts. After a short amount of getting lost from all of us, the team was met by Jo, the coordinator of this incredible operation.
Our first task was to unbox and move a giant shipment of Tinned Japanese SPAM-esq ham from the delivery pallet to the dollys for easy transportation. There was an informal race between teams to see who could do the most with Chloe and Claire easily outpacing Sam and Ruth due to superior skill and less general nattering and faffing about. Emma (big props for actually running to the task) arrived mid 'race' and, diplomatically, helped both teams.
Once the team had finished their spamtastic work (thanks for that pun Emma) we set about moving some heavy pallets and helping load supplies onto the van for transport.
Always happy to help out this great local operation and will certainly be back in the future

Half a dozen GoodGymers went back to the Greenhouse Project to give the fence there a second coat of paint.
We returned to the children's community centre on Lodge Lane to find the fence not look too shabby from when we started painting them a fortnight ago but that a second coat would really finish the job.
Although there were fewer of us this time, we made quick work of the second coat, chatting and painting away (or in Char's case, dripping paint everywhere!)
In fact it was so quick, we had time for a picture against the sunset and a little cycle (and it was a really little cycle!).
At the end we also bumped into Mark from Tiber Football Centre next door, who told us the weeding we did earlier in the summer is still looking good but it's being put to shame by another overgrown patch, so we'll be back to tackle that soon.
Shoutout to Emma, who's only been in Liverpool a few weeks but has clocked 2 good deeds already! Well done and hope to see you at many more tasks to come!

Emma earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Emma completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Emma was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Emma has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Emma is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

Seven intrepid painter decorators went to the Somali Women's Centre for a third go at painting their downstairs and it turns out it is the whole of the downstairs which needs painting. I think this is the biggest task us Good Gymers in Liverpool have taken on to date.
Some of the rooms are enormous and it is likely to be another three visits before we are finished but undaunted by this seemingly endless task, seven of us got down to painting the place white.
There was Jo, Ben, Farnaz, Christine and Matthew and a big shout out to Alex and Emma for coming along. Alex has recently joined and this was Emma's first GoodGym Community Mission, so we all hope you enjoyed getting stuck in. They did an amazing job of stripping back damaged wall and filling in and used up two whole tubs of Polyfilla (other fillers are available).
We got the kitchen and one other room finished and have started on the corridors and main rooms, so it was another successful night. And in the words of Arnie in Terminator (sort of) "We'll be back".
