Tonight we welcomed Hannah to GoodGym for first time and we also had Joanne come along who was visiting from GG Exeter.
Four of the group ran to the task from the Good Intent and the others met us at the session. Laura warmly greeted us and it was on with the task.
We had to fill wooden frames with compost then cover the area around them with woodchipping, hence the pun thought up by James. Well actually we didn't just 'chip away' at the task in the end, we completed the whole thing! It was a really great job done which Laura more than appreciated :)
Once done it was time for a group photo then the group scattered, some running and some walking.

Eve had a refreshing, breezy run from the city centre down the canal to Selly Oak train station. I was ready with 150 Goodgym flyers for us to distribute between us. Off we went and covered big student streets like Dartmouth Road, Hubert Road, Heeley Road and Exeter Road! An hour or so in and we were done.
Slightly soggy stomp around Selly Oak, but the friendly local vibe and good chats kept our spirits high! Eve’s mission kept her streak going and it took me nicely over my daily 10,000 steps target.
📮🌟 Look out for our next Goodgym flyering mission soon!

We had a great session at St. Martin’s Church, with 6 of us sanding and painting the lower ground corridor. It was brilliant to welcome Javis and Zoe, both doing their first mission with Goodgym! Some of us rolled the wider wall spaces, some brushed paint into those nooks and crannies, while others had the ceilings covered! Fantastic team effort with the whole corridor looking fresh with a full first coat of paint by the end of the mission. 😊

Tonight GG Brum were back on the hills! Yep it was the coached running session led by Jonny.
We ran around 1k to the Mailbox where we'd do a hill session. The session was some hill strides to start with to improve form, then it was into 10 minutes of Kenyan Hills. This was then followed with some lactic hill sprints! Both Eve and Emily worked very hard, going literally flat out on the hill sprints!
Once done we headed back to the Good Intent to collect the litter pickers for a quick litter pick around the Carrs Lane Church.
