The recent weather had meant that Mr Ds garden had gone into overdrive.
In the afternoon sun I mowed, snipped and tackled the tall grass, brambles and weeds.
There is now a lovely path for Mr D to get to his shed at the bottom of the garden.
We also had a nice chat about the England U21s victory, our favourite drinks, and, of course, the heat!

Well done to all of those who took part in today's Monday Miles - that was a scorcher!
Dave, Alice and I joined the Relay Your Way team for a quick 1km leg around Hilsea Lines. This was my first run back after injury, so the short distance seemed perfect... until I then had to run back again to collect the car as one of our team was very sweaty and grumpy post run - I'll let you guess who!! 😉
Katie made the most of Transition Day school run with a 9 mile cycle. Val walked 10km and somehow managed to resist an icecream, whilst Jane embraced a pub pit-stop on her 4-miler.
Our top distance today was covered by Judy and her pals over in Austria, who completed a 19km leg of the Lechweg Trail - and sent some beautiful photos.
As always with Monday Miles, it's not about the distance, just taking a little bit of time to squeeze some activity in to your day. Nice work, everyone!

After volunteering at Eastney Junior parkrun, Andy, Dave and I walked down the never-ending Ferry Road to meet up with the rest of the crew. One Triathlon spectator was very kindly waving a "Go Team Jen!" banner, which gave me the oomph I needed to get to the end of the road!
Abby (and Unofficial GGer Drew), Katie and Sanat then met us as we headed out onto the water to paddle kayaks 2 miles through Langstone Harbour back to the Watersports Centre.
We weren't expecting to see any seals (a highlight of all kayaking trips!) due to tide times, but we were lucky enough to see two groups. The first lot were about half way along our journey, so there was time for a pit-stop to watch them dipping in and out of the water and having a good old sunbathe.
Once back, we helped the Believe and Achieve team to wash down all the gear, rock the kayaks and organise seats and life-jackets for storage.
We then enjoyed a warm but pleasant walk back down the Coastal Path, where we think we may have spotted our seal friends from land.
This was one of my favourite GG tasks ever, i hope you all had as much fun as I did!
