We returned to The original Pug this week and a new location in Leamington Spa for a chance to see what treasures we could find.
The session began with a mini warm up and then some little hill reps - easy peasy Beginning with a focus on arms, everyone had a go at giving each other the elbow Don't worry, everyone is still friends...
We then took a gentle jog to the Canal in Leamington Spa, where our start location happened to be opposite a student rave, we did a bit of disco dancing, whilst handing out equipment, and returned to do our very own vogue pose to the music- each for equal
We always have a good wombling adventure on our plogging outings, and this evening didn't disappoint.
Things we found included: A Hedgehog - the first time one of our GoodGymers has seen one thats not flat 6 bottles of vodka 1 bottle of corona - don't worry this was handled with gloves Crisp packets 100's of fag buts And a Ghost Hunter with his friendly dog......
Yep - our very own Leamington Spa Ghost Hunter, who told us about the 6ft man in top hat who prowls the canal and the Victorian Lady. (we didn't see them - but be warned next time you walk down there)
Our return leg was a run through the town to smell all the lovely food.
Next week we're off to Tesco to raise money for Warwick Sea Scouts - come along with a smile and cheer.

We love the number 11 so much we Did it again tonight, and a big welcome back to Holly this evening, if you’ve had a break for a few weeks don’t worry, We can adapt the session to suit everyone and would love to see you again.
A fun warm up of hopping, jumping, touching the ground and star jumps depended on age, gender, job, names was had and everyone was ready to go.
Three groups went running door to door, expertly done now with the past two weeks training, we even covered areas not in the map. “Strava stalking” was needed to determine where we went. A search party had to be employed at one point as we were down two runner. Ragu and David found the never ending road. And like the yellow brick road they found their “heart”.
Tonights task was a tandem of charities, spreading the word about the horsey run for Raceways who fund free running events for children and Chase Meadow community centre.
A run back in two parts, the first group heading back early to combat the hill and the search party and awol gang followed in hot pursuit.
Once at the top of the hill, a pace race began; in teams of three with a faster runner in each the aim of the game was to pace your team round to finish together. Adjudicator Holly with her finish line photo showed one winning team. Although the rest were very close behind.
Great team effort as always with the GoodGym gang.
A little stretch and a congratulations to David and Michelle for being Mission ready
See you next week

And can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are It's enough for this wide-eyed GoodGymer That we've got this far...
A challenge was set last week to cover one estate in leaflets and we accomplished it, so with the love of February on our side the GoodGym crowd grew this evening to 11, and David was sharing the love by bringing his bubbly and lovely wife Michelle along for her first run...
We took on challenge 2, to find the mythical Unicorn and surround her in the love of Chase Meadows Community Centre. Ok, so it was more a pub we found in the middle of the area we needed to leaflet run by Gorgeous George.
Last weeks challenge was James trying to get through all the latched gates, this week saw our smaller team being trapped by a never ending fence and being unable to start leafleting till they found the hidden entrance.
A great evening, which uploaded onto Strava, by Taskforce member Gavin, created a beautiful fly by video (he's feeling a little lonely, so don't forget to sign up as a taskforce member once you've completed 10 runs. )
We've now completed 2/3rds of our Chase Meadows challenge, saving the charity at least 3 days worth of work, and now we've perfected our run, leaflet drop, run tactics we sure to complete the area next week. This really is making a massive difference to a local charity.
On our return route we had a lovely little relay race, using a 500m track - our own version through the streets of Warwick, the group were split into two with equal(ish) speeds.... The teams then had to debate tactics for which order to set the runners off in. The aim was to get back first.... Amazingly it appeared both groups used similar tactics, and a cat and mouse chase began. A very tight finish and a few lungs were left somewhere between Cafe Nero and Coffee No 1.
Back at base we did a lovely little stretch and a reminder to sign up for the GoodGym Shin dig....
Massive thanks for Nicola for saving the day when the phone died and so got some great action shots for the run report.
See you next week!

February is here, and new crop of GoodGymers have sprung up this evening. We welcomed our** regular runners, some brand new runners, some **"returning from holiday runners" (who failed to bring the Australian sun back with them) and some Good Gym tourists this evening.
Following a little warm up where helicopter arms were put to the test, and temper tantrum feet were completed we had a steady run down to the canal.
The aim of the game was to cover a section of canal each and bring the biggest crop of litter... Using bridges and big shopping supermarkets, (cheap ones, and even cheaper ones - the shops that is), as markers, the GoodGymers set off.....
With one team deciding to go all Apprentice style and add a time penalty to the other team, they returned with 4 minutes spare and haul of three bags. Team 2 scrapped in exactly on time, with a little trot to the finish.... Its amazing how close one bridge feels when you normally run to it, but walking back dragging a pushchair, buggy and two bags of litter makes it suddenly seem a long way.
The highlight of the evening was the little romantic tale that team 2 had with their forensic dig a bottle of wine, a perfectly fine wine glass, and a pregnancy test - trainer Becky now has her eyes on a little "Best find yet" goodgym competition.
Our return run was a slightly shorter one but it also finished with some non gut wrenching hill repeats there was a request to make them non gut wrenching.....
Some of the team even did an extra little repeat for fun.
We really enjoyed meeting so many new faces tonight and hope to see you back soon. Thanks to Alex and Huw for coming along as Good Gym tourists, and of course its always nice to see returning runners..
Hope to see you all next week.
(note to everyone shout** HEADCOUNT **at Becky.)
