It was such a lovely evening for a litter pick! Having ran 3k to the task armed with pickers and bags Richard and I met up with Gabriel who we discovered had walked from the Jewellery Quarter! About a 10km walk, our run felt silly and short haha but we all had exercised a lot already. So we took it easy on the plog, trying a new spot in Stirchley park.
We even found this jigsaw (HENCE THE PUN) - and couldn't decide on the legitimacy of the artwork. Was it AI? We consulted our group whatsapp who were equally undecided as the artist only seems to have this one piece and in addition has a name very close to Frank Zappa. The mystery of ages!
We had some great chats and then both did the return legs home!

Tonight we were back at the Friends of the Earth.
We welcomed Marcella to GoodGym for the first time, it was great to have you with us :)
Morwenna, Eve, Jonny and James ran 2k to the task and met our walking group of Miriam, Marcella and Gabriel.
As ever we were also greeted by Marcel the dog, generally an ever present at the Friends of the Earth tasks.
We got to work bagging up cans to be recycled, composting and inside Miriam, Marcella and Gabriel did some paper shredding and cleaning some buckets.
Eve and James stirred in some shredded paper into the compost certainly a 'good good gym workout' see what I did there?!
Once done we had a quick picture with Marcel the dog and headed on our way.

Tonight, Jonny and Gabriel helped out at The Friends of the Earth.
The task was to water the plants, measure some items, take pictures of them and then email them to task owner Karen.
Jonny did the plant watering around the building using 6 full watering cans and Gabriel did a great job of measuring up and taking photos.
We even had time to squeeze in another quick job. Yep we took aload of batteries off charge and boxed them up before replacing them with some dead batteries to power them up!
Once done, Jonny ran home and Gabriel walked back to the JQ :)

I couldn't think of a pun but loving the term "Spooky GoodGym" so that's what it had to be!
We met up at 1000 Trades and walked down to the cemetery for their spooky Halloween event. Gabriel was walking so we left him to a spooky tour of the catecombs while James, Eve and myself headed out on a 4km run round town.
When we got back it was time to help put away tables, lights and gazebos. It was great there was 4 of us as we were able to take a corner each, and with team work put them away quickly before helping to carry them back to the JQ bid office.
A great task! Next year we should carve our own GG pumpkin!
