HEN is a residents' association covering Hartham, Elsden and Newlyn Roads in Tottenham. This was a new task for us, and we were warmly welcomed by Matt, who had a few tasks for us to help prepare for their upcoming street party.
First up there was hair: Matt produced a hedge trimmer and before you could say "short back and sides" Mark had got to work on an overgrown hedge across the road, where until recently the association's longest-standing and much-loved resident had lived. Around the corner, resident Sophie had a barnet of Marge Simpson proportions for Mark to tackle. Finally, James had a go at executing a mullet for a resident who is currently injured and unable to cut his own hedge.
Of course, the streets will not be ready for the party without a bit of makeup. Matt showed us a couple of areas that have been tagged by people with a demonstrable lack of talent. James and Helen got stuck in with paintbrushes and a tin of grey paint, with Sarah providing moral support (eg "you missed a bit"). These are now blank canvasses, and Matt has plans to stencil them in the future.
Matt has promised to invite us to the upcoming HEN do, while both he and Sophie said they may join us on a run one day soon.
There were more reasons for celebration tonight too - Sarah and James' recent birthdays, and James' tenth good deed. Great work team.

Haringey Report written by Mark Jennings (He/him)
Wednesday evening found us back at the Tottenham Community Sports Centre, and for some of the team it came with a strong sense of déjà vu as we stepped once again into the changing rooms beside the boxing gym. Armed with what felt like every cleaning product known to humankind, the team surged into action.
Gladys Gladys and Asan Asan — both fairly new to GoodGym - took on the women’s changing room with impressive determination. Next door, The Neil and Yann were deep in the trenches of the somewhat larger men’s changing room, while James, now showing the calm wisdom of a seasoned goodgymer, positioned himself strategically in the gym area to tackle the weights.
Someone, of course, had to make sure photos were taken, morale was high, and reinforcements were secured in the form of extra cleaning sprays for mirrors and mysterious floor types. That someone was me (Mark ), doing my best impression of a roaming supply officer while Cecile and Sylvie (our task owners) kept us well stocked.
In double‑quick time the rooms were sparkling, and we spilled out into the cool evening air before heading to our next mission: a room in the main building filled with treadmills and other gym equipment. By this point the team was in full overdrive—no doubt inspired by Neil, who was just about to complete his 100th good deed. A huge congratulations to Neil on reaching this brilliant milestone.

Volunteering at GoodGym has many benefits for the body. It helps people stay active and healthy. People run, exercise, and help others at the same time. This makes them stronger and happier. Volunteering is also good for mental health because it gives people a positive feeling.
