Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Mark Jennings (He/him)
The task was brief - laying more woodchip on the paths and use areas, and followed quickly by making willow rings around the fire-pit. Amy, Dave and Asan quickly demonstrated their creativity. Meanwhile marshmallows were being roasted on the fire, champagne and zero alcohol sparkling wine bottles were opened and cake brought by Sarah and Mark was devoured. With world cup football beckoning several goodgymers made their way to Wood Green Spoons where Latoya and Julie were saving a table. A great evening and Mark confirmed, to the relief of all, that he was now done with his extended birthday celebration. Thanks to all for a wonderful time together!
Through Urban Forest Tribe, we are transforming an unused London space into a 1000m²+ Outdoor Learning and Wellbeing Space, a vibrant environment where climate action, biodiversity, and community wellbeing come together. The space will host regular sessions for the local schools, families with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and home-educated children, and the wider community, helping people learn, play, and thrive while caring for nature.

Thanks Amy, glad you were there - you were at the first task we did with UFT and have generously given of your time to support them over several task since then. I apologise for not making sure that you/all were aware of the option to continue post task at the pub - your suggestion to make sure that is specifically mentioned in future is a good one - thanks!
