Reading Report written by Jenni H
On a lovely sunny evening, four GoodGymers set out to clear up some of the litter from Reading's streets.
Armed with pickers and bags, we took a route which led us passed where we had been cheering for the half marathon a few weeks earlier and down by the canal.
Both Jessica and Ganesh got stuck in on their first Monday evening session, and Chris has now reached the mega milestone of 50 good deeds! 🎉
With 3 bags full of litter, helped along by someone neatly leaving theirs on the statue by the Abbey Ruins, we certainly earned our good deeds on this task, and left Reading a little less littery!
Watch this space for the next session!

Jessica Tanon earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Jessica completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Jessica was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

We met Yin at Ardler Road allotments to help her out with some jobs on the Food4Families plot. They grow fruit and veg which is donated to local groups.
It was a lovely morning to be outside and getting stuck in! Jessica joined us for the first time, and she and Jenni took straight to pulling weeds out, to make sure that everything had space to grow.
Chris got to work on digging trenches to plant potatoes, and after weeding and planting potatoes, Jessica helped with getting everything watered too!
After an hour and a half, we had completed all the jobs needed for today. We'll be back again to help with more jobs throughout the growing season!
