[ ] Our monthly visit to the carriers of hope , 7 Goodgymers rolled up to Charities of Hope and met Hamed who was there to greet us ! Upstairs. Laura and Lucy armed themselves with baby-grows and tiny socks and teddies ! Crates wedged together like they'd been glued ! Making a racket trying to get them apart !! took some swearing and shoving. Lucy tugs too hard, nearly ends up , on her bum.!! 🤣 [ ] Downstairs was . Me, Jackie, Marcel, Lillian, Nigel stacking shelfs to the max to create some space for more donations we grabbed duvets, camping gear and clothes, got a couple of shelfs reorganised in half an hour ! All sorted for this month !

Seven Goodgymers walked, cycled and swam our way to Coffee Tots at The Wave to do the opposite of what we did in December - take down all of the Christmas decorations - just in time for twelfth night!

We made swift progress with the decorations, trying to make sure the lights don't get tangled, wrapping up the stockings and carefully packing away the Christmas village until December 2026. After we finished, we had time for a new year catch up and enjoyed some yummy snacks cooked by Nigel, roasties, sausage rolls and parsnip and apple soup!

9 Goodgymers made their way to Coffee Tots at The Wave to support with their Christmas preparations!

Our first task was to sort food donations into different categories so that the next team of volunteers can make up Christmas food parcels for local families. Then we moved on to hanging the Christmas decorations in the café, and were treated to some delicious festive snacks as we worked, those roasties were delish! We received a thanks from the Coffee Tots director and have been invited back in January to take the decorations down again (and have some more snacks!).

Great turn out tonight, thanks to everyone who made it out to help. Fantastic effort with approx 1200 leaflets delivered in 40 minutes!
