Another sunny morning visit to Mr P’s 22 degrees, no complaints from me. I set off on my bike at 25 to ten. A four-mile ride got the blood pumping and left me ready to get stuck into the weeding. This time the front of the house needed doing. I greeted Mr P, who was looking after his granddaughter. He brought me a glass of water and I got started straight away. I cleared all the weeds, leaving the rose bushes untouched, turned the soil over and raked it smooth, then cleared all the weeds into the brown bin. It took me an hour and a half — a great workout, dripping with sweat in the beautiful sunshine. Topped my tan up nicely! After finishing, I said goodbye to Mr P and his granddaughter, then cycled the four miles home.

A beautiful sunny evening, four goodgymers turned up to Carriers of Hope for our monthly visit. The lovely Gloria was there to greet us, only we had a problem ,the main gateway was locked🙈 oh no! So we thought that was it and reluctantly said to Sharon and Lucy, who had arrived, that they might as well go home because we can’t get in! Myself and Gloria were just about to leave when someone came out and they had keys and opened the door so we could get in! Awesome👌!! Georgia came just as we gained access and Lucy came back as she was not too far away. Brilliant it was back on again.! So Georgia and I helped Gloria cut some carpet and after that it was on to sorting out all the new donations into crates and shelves accordingly. Alll different things , from curtains , clothes games and books, and we though we had found a stash of £50"s !! only it was napkins 😕 We managed to get four tubs cleared and sorted. A very successful evening despite the setback, so great work everyone 🙌”

Myself and James cycled to meet Esther at springboard allotment on a cool but dry Sunday morning. we worked on weeding an area, to get it ready for planting some potatoes 🥔 😋 we finished off the session with a well earned hot drink and biscuits.
