It was our very first visit to the wonderful Hazelnut Farm in Lockleaze. What a gem in Bristol's community garden crown! First task was to clear a massive tree branch that had come down during last night's storm, and then we got stuck into GoodGym's speciality: pulling out weeds and cutting back brambles. At the end of the task, we proudly looked upon the weed-free ground, ready for local schools to get planting. We also uncovered a fantastic view over North Bristol's roofs, which up until then only the brambles had enjoyed.
(Thank you to Dave for, once again, providing an excellent pun)

It will be a great jump start to local school projects. A huge help!

In what is becoming a bit of a regular place to help out now we all turned up at the lovely Royate Hill Community Orchard ready for action (apologies if it wasn’t easy to find us 😬).
There was a mixture of tasks to be done from shifting, to finding the path to enlightenment (I think it was clearing a path?), to moving mulch around under the watchful eye of the chickens. Welcome to Marianne joining us for the first time today :)
The time flew past and at the end we had some thirst quenching apple juice from the whale mugs before saying our farewells. We are back again next Sunday at the same time so hope to see you again.
Until next time.

The Magnificent Seven returned to St Werburgh's Park Nursery School for the first time in a little while. Leaves were cleared, paths tidied and tunnels explored. The sun put in fleeting appearances and we will return here again soon 😁
