GG News
Last night at GG
Last night there was a slight change to the plan due to the Foodbank having an event on in the evening so we have had to swap weeks. So last night we hit to the streets of Woking to help spread some GG love. With leaflets at the ready we took on some running and threw in some core exercises along the way.
NEXT WEEK We are meeting the leisure centre for some food bank action.
If you have nay vegetables or fruit you would like to grow this year in our allotment then please let me know!

Last night 6 runners plus Bodhi ran 6km to spread the word of GoodGym delivering leaflets in the local area.
5 met at our usual meeting spot outside the leisure centre before heading off towards Kingfield where we were joined just in time by Sally-Ann making up the 6. None of us recognised her as she wasnโt wearing her trademark fluorescent jacket and it was like meeting a brand new person!
We split into 2 teams taking both sides of Elmbridge Lane where we split with one team heading down Queen Elizabeth Way and the other taking care of Sundridge Road. We then regrouped before smashing out Howard Road and the task was complete in double quick time.
Nick had the bright idea of heading up to Ashwood Road to do some hill climbs where we all did as many repeats as we could in 15 minutes which was quite hard and everyone did well with most people completing 5 repeats to ensure we all finished exhausted before heading off home.
Next week we will be heading back to the allotment to tidy the plot and turn over the soil so get signed up if you can make it. Also donโt forget to volunteer for Junior Parkrun on Sunday; they really appreciate our continued support each week.

Tonight at GG
A welcome back to Bel and Abi who had taken a little GG break, the cold evening didn't put them off. Tonight we were off to help Besom, Besom have the same similar values as GG. The focus on the Besom is and always has been on those who have something to give, but are looking for a way to do so. Besom encourages involved giving out of a sense of love, as opposed to duty, and offers people the opportunity to think creatively about how they would like to give. To help Besom we headed to clear an alley near one of there residents. It was over grown and was starting to take over the gentleman's access to his back gate.

Martin earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Martin completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Martin was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Good gym Woking News:
Junior Park Run:
This morning 7 good gym members gave up their time to help volunteer at Woking junior park run. There where over 100 kids taking part (wasnโt as cold as last weekend) James came wearing his shiny new brutal medal that he got yesterday, he will have that around his neck all weekend now.๐ A big well done to Anne and Rebecca who ran a 8km before turning up to help volunteer!!!
We where all given radios and whistles and are marshalling points, this was my first time marshalling the event and I loved it Holly had her both kids running and my daughter was also running. After a quick warm up they where off, as the kids came round past me I was giving out high fives ๐๐ฝ and the kids loved it Hollyโs little boy Brody got double high fives ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ and in no time they where done.
My daughter beat her personal best time and Brody and Violet also achieved great times with Brody beating his PB by over a minute โฆ all in all a fantastic morning..
