Our task for this evening was to deliver as many flyers as we could for the over 60's dance classes at Trinity Laban. The group gathered at Glass Mill where we spread out the leaflets between bags and also traded hats!
With most of the group running to Deptford, myself and Marta walked and met the group mid-flyering. We spread out across the estate and I delivered some flyers to Trinity Laban reception to spread the word as much as possible.
It's quite difficult to take photos at a flyering tasks and also to keep an eye on where everyone is but we all managed to safely regroup and head for burgers!
Well done to everyone that ran the big half!

Another summer of keeping on top of the weeds at Luxmore Gardens! This week we had a bumper group of 13 of us ready to tackle the weeds or was it the fact Vic had said she was being a dog!!
Welcome Aisha to your first group run, hope you enjoyed it and we'll see you back soon!
As I'm still not able to run, Paul led the group up the hill to Luxmore Garden. There were rumours of did I walk or get the bus....I walked! And it was perfect timing for us all to arrive together and see what was in store for us.
What was in store was digging up the remaining weeds and the alkinet. As always we debated what was grass we could dig up and what was ornamental grass. Maybe next summer we'll find the answer to that.
Next week we're heading to Deptford to hand out flyers for over 60's dance classes and then heading for some food and drinks in Deptford after to celebrate the big half and recent birthdays! You'll only need to run one way or we could walk together.
Now enjoy lots of pictures of us with Wilfred!

It was wonderful to see quite a few signed up, some last minute sign ups and easily persuaded GoodGymer's joining us at a brand new task in Deptfod.
We didn't really know what was in store for us but what we did find was an amazing community garden tucked away from the street. I'm not sure you'd know it was there unless you were in the know.
There was plenty of tasks for us to get stuck into and our hosts were very excited to have us there. Once we divided up tasks, we all got stuck in. There was the standard alkinet removal, digging up some plants, sweeping up leaves, clearing under some bushes and then last but not least, sitting on a yellow chair to fill the buckets with water.
That leads me to mentioning it was Mo's last group run before his move to Geneva. We celebrated with some swiss rolls! We'll miss you Mo and thank you for all your hard work. You've been a big part of the group!

One of those are edible and one of those is stinky but excellent for the plants!! A gaggle of GoodGymers went up and over the hills to meet us at Seniors, whilst those of us meeting at the task had a lovely chat with our hosts for the evening.
Once we'd arrived we set about assigning jobs for the evening, who wanted to dig, who wanted to rip up some comfrey leaves, who wanted to water and who wanted to tackle a delicate job of digging out some seedlings.
There's always a task for everyone and Monday evening was no different except at Senior's there always seems to be a last minute rush for the hosepipe or a last minute dash to make sure something is watered. On Monday we had to make sure the comfrey tea fertiliser was topped up with water so when we come back in September we can water over the plants and give them the goodness.
Tonight we were celebrating Darryl's birthday which meant cupcakes and a drink at the Blythe Hill Tavern for those not running back to Glass Mill.
Thanks to Paul for leading the group safely to Seniors whilst I'm still waiting on the sign off from the physio! Next week is a brand new task so sign up!!

Matthew Tipler done 100 good deeds with GoodGym.
Matthew has just reached another level: 100 good deeds with GoodGym. That's at least 100 times when they could have easily done something easier. But they didn't, Matthew has kept going and going. Helping a lot of other people and getting a bit fitter at the same time. Congratulations Matthew.
