A really sunny September morning at Mrs J's garden.

There were some more things to address in the corner of the back garden, a nice but uneven space that Mrs J cannot access, there's a lot of Ivy overgrown on the ground, which has choked out the rest of the garden space, so I spend a large part of the time clearing that up. Finally trimming back the lavender so the dead heads were gone for the winter.

Towards the end of the task I had a nice visit from a Robin, who was hanging out until the end of the task.

We ran, cycled and walked 4km because tonight was Quiz Night at Edmund Bacon Court. Now a well established session, bringing 15 local residents & 9 GoodGymer's together for a social evening of head scratching and biscuits!

We split into 4 teams for a test of General Knowledge, 90s Trivia, Musicals & Famous Faces... with a stop for tea & biscuits halfway through.

Once the results were in, this weeks winners were 'Cheesy Chips!' Well done everyone. Shout out to Mary for attending her first GoodGym Session.

Massifs de jardin sans frontiers - (Garden beds without borders).

We all gathered at St James’ garden and got briefed that we would need to remove some overgrown thorns and bits from the back of the garden.

We also were tasked with resetting the border lines of the garden beds, removing grass that had grown into the flower beds around the site.

A good time was had by all and we decamped to Cavendish Court for refreshments afterwards.

Another visit to Mrs J, which has become quite regular.

On this occasion, there were some hedges in the back garden that needed trimming back, which are having a September growth spurt.

This was taken care of, as well as some weeds that had started to poke through around areas of the garden. Mrs J was very happy with the work but there's some more work needed to be done at the bottom of the garden in the near future.
